Filling up the Space

In a previous post, I shared that daily I envision the Holy Spirit sweeping negative emotion out of my body.  I feel compelled again to say that this isn’t psycho-babble.  I can attest that emotions are my biggest adversary day-to-day and that they affect me emotionally AND physically.

Anyway, the Holy Spirit can reach places I do not even know exist, so He is the perfect one to do this work.  I cannot reach all of the nooks and crannies, nor am I equipped to do the work.  Only the Lord God can clean me up from the inside out.

It is, however, not enough to dispel negative emotion/energy.  To heal, the positive must fill up this space.  I learned this lesson many years ago when I watched a friend apply this principle.  He was reconciling with his wife after he had stepped out in his marriage.  I could see that it was not enough to leave the affair; it was critical that he apply himself and learn to love his wife again.

This is supported by Scripture in Matthew 12>>>>>>>>

43 “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”

And so, I envision replacing these negatives with these positives:
